Ferrofish Pulse16 DX AD/DA Converter Details

The Ferrofish Pulse16 DX is a powerful 16 x 16 channel AD/DA converter that combines pristine analogue conversion with an extensive range of digital connectivity, including Dante, MADI, and ADAT. Operating at up to 192kHz, it delivers studio-grade balanced analogue I/O with individually adjustable levels in 1dB steps, ensuring precision and flexibility in any professional environment.

The Ferrofish Pulse16 DX’s integration of Dante networking with redundant dual RJ45 ports provides 64 x 64 channels of low-latency audio-over-IP, while the modular SFP slot allows for optical MADI connectivity, supporting up to 64 channels over a single fibre link.

The Ferrofish Pulse16 DX brings together all analogue and digital signals into a powerful 176 x 176 internal routing matrix, enabling complete flexibility and seamless integration between formats. With four pairs of ADAT ports offering up to 32 channels at 48kHz, and an intuitive dual TFT display for full visual control, configuration and monitoring are simple and reliable without the need to reference manuals. The unit also features comprehensive remote control options via Dante, MADI, and MIDI, along with Ferrofish’s dedicated control software for Mac and PC.

A headphone output with selectable monitoring of any input or output channel adds a practical edge for studio, live sound, and broadcast engineers who require immediate reference monitoring. Built into a compact, fanless 1U chassis with high-stability clocking and jitter reduction technology, the Ferrofish Pulse16 DX delivers outstanding sound quality and routing flexibility, making it a centrepiece for demanding professional audio networks.
