The MXR 01A also known as the Model 191, was manufactured by ART (applied Research & Technology) and was a very expensive reverb at the time, selling for more than a Lexicon PCM 60.
Vintage Digital and Analogue Audio Effects from the late 1950′s through to now are fabulous, and cherished by some of the top mix engineers who use them daily on some of the greatest records of our time. We intend to preserve them here.
This site is dedicated to cataloging vintage digital and analogue studio effects, and in time will build into a full museum with each and every product painstakingly recreated in Affinity Photo (unless quality images are available) with information gathered from around the world.
It takes around 4-8 hours to re-create each product in Affinity Photo, multiply that by the number of products on this site and you will have some understanding of the time it has taken to make all those images available to you. There is also hundreds of hours of research gone into finding the information on each product, ensuring accuracy of specifications etc, and of course the building and maintaining of the site itself.
It is for the above reasons, that we ask for a small donation for accessing the library of manuals we have made available through this site, it helps pay the bills to keep it going.
You are welcome to contribute to the site with any information you can provide to ensure accuracy in the information we put forth.
