At the core of the PreSonus Eris Studio 8 is a custom-designed EBM Elliptical Boundary Modeled waveguide, which shapes the high-frequency dispersion pattern to achieve a wide 120-degree horizontal listening field while maintaining narrow vertical dispersion. This design reduces unwanted reflections from desks and consoles while creating a broader and more consistent sweet spot. High frequencies are handled by a 1.25-inch ultra-low-mass silk-dome tweeter, delivering fast transient response and accurate detail without harshness. An updated enclosure design further improves waveguide performance, allowing subtle mix details to be heard clearly.
Low-frequency reproduction is provided by a woven-composite 8-inch driver, engineered to deliver tight, controlled bass with plenty of punch. The ported enclosure design maximises bass output and efficiency, enabling the PreSonus Eris Studio 8 to extend down to 35 Hz without the need for a subwoofer. Power is supplied by 140 watts of Class AB biamplification, offering ample headroom and improved efficiency over previous Eris designs, ensuring consistent performance across a wide range of listening levels.
