The PreSonus Eris Studio 4 Studio Monitor is a compact two-way active nearfield monitor designed to deliver accurate, detailed sound in space-constrained home studios and small professional mix rooms. Despite its modest footprint, the PreSonus Eris Studio 4 Studio Monitor provides a surprisingly full low end and a wide, well-controlled listening area, making it suitable for critical monitoring where space is limited but accuracy remains essential.
A key element of the PreSonus Eris Studio 4 Studio Monitor is its custom EBM Elliptical Boundary Modeled waveguide. This waveguide shapes the high-frequency dispersion to provide a wide 120 degree horizontal spread, creating a broad and stable sweet spot with precise stereo imaging. Narrow vertical dispersion helps reduce reflections from desks and work surfaces, improving clarity in untreated or compact rooms. High frequencies are reproduced by a 1-inch ultra-low-mass silk-dome tweeter, ensuring fast, accurate transient response and detailed high-frequency reproduction.
Low-frequency performance is handled by a 4.5-inch woven-composite driver, engineered to deliver tight, controlled bass that exceeds expectations for a monitor of this size. The front-ported enclosure works in conjunction with 50 watts of Class AB biamplification to maximise bass output and efficiency, allowing the PreSonus Eris Studio 4 Studio Monitor to reach down to 55 Hz without the need for a subwoofer.
The PreSonus Eris Studio 4 Studio Monitor includes comprehensive Acoustic Tuning controls, allowing it to be tailored to different room acoustics and placement conditions. These controls include continuously variable high-frequency and midrange adjustment, Acoustic Space compensation for boundary proximity, and a selectable high-pass filter for integration with a subwoofer. Flexible connectivity is provided via balanced XLR and 6.35 mm TRS inputs, along with unbalanced RCA inputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of audio interfaces, mixers, and playback devices. Robust protection circuitry and a soft-start amplifier design ensure reliable operation and eliminate power-on transients.
