Al.So, short for Alternate Soundings, was founded in France in 2002 by sound engineer and designer Olivier Bolling. The company specialised in high-end analogue studio outboard equipment, developing original designs rather than reproductions of established circuits. Its range included microphone preamplifiers and dynamics processors such as the Dynax series and Hellax compressor/limiter, with products designed for recording, mixing and mastering applications.
