SAE cassette decks combined the American manufacturer’s distinctive industrial styling with advanced recording and control technology. Models such as the SAE C101 featured rack-mount construction, three-head monitoring, computer-controlled operating functions, electronic level displays, tape calibration facilities and Dolby noise reduction. Their substantial black front panels, extensive controls and professional presentation reflected SAE’s wider approach to high-performance audio equipment.
