The Cave at Ocean Way is located at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville’s Music Row and was established in 2025 by producer Kevin Shirley. Known as “The Caveman,” Shirley has produced and mixed for artists including Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

The control room centres on a 72-channel SSL Duality console and is designed for both stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing, using an analogue-based approach. A large collection of classic outboard equipment complements the studio’s analogue signal path.

The move from Sydney reflects Nashville’s status as a global recording hub, offering greater collaboration opportunities. The studio is housed within Ocean Way Nashville, a 100-year-old Gothic revival stone church renowned for its exceptional acoustics.
