Low frequencies from 32Hz to 250Hz are handled by a 9-inch (229mm) Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) HexaCone woofer, featuring ADAM Audio’s Symmetrical Magnet Assembly (SMA) technology for distortion-free, tightly controlled bass response. The midrange is reproduced by a 4-inch (102mm) DCH hybrid dome/cone driver made from carbon composite and powered by a 300-watt Class D amplifier. This innovative driver design combines the speed and clarity of a dome with the body and depth of a cone, producing highly detailed and natural midrange performance.
The high-frequency range is managed by the handcrafted S-ART (Accelerated Ribbon Technology) tweeter, housed in ADAM’s precision-milled HPS (High-frequency Propagation System) waveguide, powered by a 50-watt Class A/B amplifier. This ensures outstanding transient response, wide dispersion, and extended clarity up to 50kHz.
A built-in DSP engine precisely manages crossover behaviour and frequency response, optimising the phase alignment between drivers while providing room tuning, EQ, and voicing controls. The DSP also incorporates limiter-based high-frequency protection and supports AES3 digital inputs for direct digital connectivity. Firmware updates and control adjustments are handled via the USB port, which allows seamless integration with ADAM Audio’s software control interface.
