Audient ASP800 Microphone Preamplifier Details

The Audient ASP800 is an 8-channel mic preamp and ADAT expander designed to enhance any recording setup with high-quality analogue tone shaping and exceptional digital clarity.

Featuring eight Audient Console Mic Preamps derived from the flagship ASP8024-HE recording console, the Audient ASP800 delivers ultra-low noise, low distortion performance with an authentic analogue character.

The Audient ASP800 offers eight balanced line inputs, eight balanced line outputs, and two JFET DI inputs that emulate the harmonic richness of classic valve amplifiers, allowing for direct connection of instruments like guitars or synthesisers.

The standout feature of the Audient ASP800 is its two Retro Channels, each equipped with HMX and IRON saturation controls. HMX uses discrete MOSFET circuitry to produce asymmetrical harmonic distortion, adding warmth and body.

IRON employs a custom British transformer with high-voltage MOSFET drive to deliver a rich, tape-like saturation reminiscent of vintage British recordings. These analogue tone-shaping options allow users to dial in classic 60s and 70s character or retain the clean and detailed sound of the pristine mic pres.

With class-leading converters ensuring accurate capture of every nuance, and the ability to expand via ADAT, the Audient ASP800 is perfect for those needing more inputs for larger sessions, drum tracking, or multi-mic setups.

The unit is housed in a rugged 1U rackmount chassis with premium aluminium knobs, and comes bundled with a suite of creative software to get you recording straight away.
