Smartgain further enhances workflow by automatically analysing incoming audio and setting gain levels in less than twenty seconds. This makes recording drums, larger sessions and solo performances significantly faster and more consistent. Smartgain works across all eight preamps at once, providing a level of efficiency typically only possible with an assistant engineer.
Audient EVO 16 introduces the Motion UI system, a high resolution, full colour LCD interface that displays real time visual feedback for every adjustment. The TFT backlit screen delivers clear metering, channel status information and instant access to all hardware functions from any viewing angle. With One Knob Control, users can navigate and control the interface with a single central dial, while the customisable function button allows important monitoring controls to be assigned to one dedicated control.
The Audient EVO 16 includes eight line outputs for connecting multiple speaker sets or routing audio to external processors and headphone amplifiers. Two powerful headphone outputs provide clear monitoring with enough headroom to drive headphones up to 600 Ohms. Two JFET instrument inputs replicate the behaviour of a classic valve amplifier input stage, giving guitarists a strong tonal foundation before hitting software amp models.
With optical digital inputs and outputs supporting both ADAT and SPDIF formats, Audient EVO 16 offers extensive expansion options. Up to sixteen additional mic preamp channels can be added for larger sessions, making it a capable and flexible centrepiece for any project or home studio.
Advanced monitoring features include speaker switching, mono listening and talkback, all accessible directly from the front panel of the Audient EVO 16. The dedicated talkback system allows any audio source connected to the computer to be used as a talkback mic, freeing physical preamps for recording. The interface uses a fast USB connection along with low latency monitoring for responsive performance during tracking and mixing.
Content creators benefit from built in audio loop-back, allowing easy recording of computer audio, gaming audio or video calls directly into a recording session. The EVO Mixer application provides powerful routing, ultra low latency monitoring and easy setup of artist headphone mixes.
