The Dynaudio C3 MkII is a three-way hybrid passive studio monitor designed as a high-quality reference system for mixing and mastering in small to medium-sized music studios, as well as film and television post-production environments. Positioned within the Dynaudio professional monitoring range, the Dynaudio C3 MkII delivers reference-grade accuracy, controlled power, and long-term listening comfort in a format that suits space-conscious control rooms without sacrificing performance.
The Dynaudio C3 MkII uses the same core component quality found in the flagship Dynaudio M4 system, delivering the same sonic character and precision in a more compact enclosure. This approach ensures that engineers benefit from the same clarity, balance, and detail expected from Dynaudio’s top-tier monitoring systems, while maintaining flexibility for a wider range of studio layouts.
The low-frequency section of the Dynaudio C3 MkII is built around a 30 cm Magnesium Silicate Polymer driver featuring a 100 mm ferrofluid-cooled voice coil, providing controlled, authoritative bass response with excellent power handling. The midrange is handled by a 17 cm Magnesium Silicate Polymer driver with a 75 mm ferrofluid-cooled voice coil and neodymium magnet, delivering exceptional clarity and definition through the critical mid-band. High frequencies are reproduced by the legendary Esotar 3 soft-dome tweeter, renowned for its accuracy, smoothness, and low listening fatigue. The midrange and high-frequency drivers are integrated via a high-power passive crossover to ensure seamless transition and consistent performance.
For installations where vertical placement is not practical, the Dynaudio C3 MkII is also available in a horizontal configuration designed for mounting above or below screens or windows. This version replaces the single 30 cm bass driver with twin 24 cm low-frequency drivers, maintaining performance while improving placement flexibility.
As part of a larger system, the Dynaudio C3 MkII integrates seamlessly into immersive monitoring environments. When combined with a Dynaudio subwoofer and eight or ten surround speakers, it forms an effective solution for immersive formats including Dolby Atmos HE 7.1.4 and 9.1.4. The system is supplied as an active two-way configuration, using either two DCA stereo power amplifiers with built-in crossover cards or a DA40 amplifier with onboard DSP for stereo operation.
The wider Dynaudio monitor range is the result of long-term research into how audio professionals work at high levels for extended periods. Every system is designed to deliver reference-quality sound, extreme reliability, and consistent performance without listening fatigue. Dynaudio monitors are trusted by leading engineers, mixers, and post-production professionals working in some of the world’s most respected studios, where accuracy and confidence in monitoring are critical.
