The Eve Audio SC3010 is a main reference monitor designed for farfield applications in professional recording, mastering, film, television post-production, cinema, and in-wall installation environments. Positioned as the smaller sibling to the SC3012, the Eve Audio SC3010 delivers precise power across the entire audible frequency range while maintaining extremely low distortion and controlled directivity, making it suitable for critical listening at high sound pressure levels.
The Eve Audio SC3010 is a three-way active monitoring system built around a powerful amplifier array, with one dedicated amplifier per driver. All drivers, and in particular the proprietary RS6 Air Motion Transformer, are engineered for high output capability, low distortion, and optimised dispersion. A rigid plywood front plate combined with a specialised internal cabinet construction reduces resonances and ensures smooth directivity, highly defined midrange reproduction, pristine high frequencies, and a tight, controlled low end.
Low-frequency reproduction is handled by a double-coated 10-inch low-resonance metal diaphragm SilverCone woofer with long excursion capability. This driver delivers clean and controlled bass down to approximately 30Hz at minus 3 dB and is capable of reproducing demanding programme material even at elevated sound pressure levels. The midrange is reproduced by a newly developed 5-inch driver using a glass fibre layered Rohacel sandwich diaphragm, providing clear, detailed, and accurate midrange definition. Both the 10-inch woofer and the 5-inch midrange driver utilise Eve Audio’s copper cap magnet system, significantly reducing distortion.
High frequencies are reproduced by the RS6 Air Motion Transformer, exclusive to the SC3010 and SC3012. The RS6 is 2.5 times larger than earlier RS1, RS2, and RS3 AMT designs and plays a critical role in coupling the midrange and high frequencies with exceptional precision. The crossover frequency is set at 1800Hz, a key region for human hearing, ensuring uniform directivity and a seamless transition between drivers.
Each driver in the Eve Audio SC3010 is powered by its own PWM amplifier. The tweeter and midrange drivers are each supported by a 250 W amplifier, while the low-frequency driver is powered by an 800 W PWM amplifier. All drivers are protected by limiter detection circuits, allowing reliable operation under demanding conditions. This amplification architecture enables accurate mix evaluation regardless of the intended playback level.
The Eve Audio SC3010 is fully compatible with in-wall installations. An in-wall filter setting is provided to optimise performance in such configurations, and a set of high-density foam inserts is supplied to seal the rear-firing bass ports when required. The silver module housing the midrange driver and RS6 Air Motion Transformer can be rotated by 90 degrees, allowing either horizontal or vertical placement without compromising acoustic performance.
System control is provided via the SMART-knob interface, offering direct access to volume, filters, and room adaptation settings through high-resolution DSP electronics. Settings can be stored using the parameter lock function, even when the monitor is powered off. The Safe Fade-In feature gradually increases volume on power-up to protect both hearing and connected equipment.
As with all Eve Audio monitors, the Eve Audio SC3010 is manufactured using high-quality components and undergoes meticulous individual quality control at the Berlin factory. Connectivity includes balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs, ensuring flexible integration into professional monitoring systems.
