The Eve Audio SC3012 is a flagship main monitor developed for large recording and mastering studios, film and television facilities, cinema applications, and demanding wall installations. The Eve Audio SC3012 is a three-way active system featuring a powerful amplifier array with a dedicated amplifier for each driver. The system is built around a sophisticated 12-inch SilverCone woofer, a specially developed 5-inch SilverCone midrange driver, and the exclusive RS6 Air Motion Transformer. All drivers are engineered for high sound pressure levels, optimised directivity, and extremely low distortion. A rigid wood front panel and a specialised internal cabinet construction minimise resonance and ensure even dispersion, well-defined midrange detail, flawless high frequencies, and a powerful yet controlled low-frequency response.
Low frequencies are handled by a double-coated 12-inch metal cone woofer with very low resonance and long excursion capability. This driver extends down to 25Hz at minus 3 dB and reproduces the lowest frequencies with exceptionally low harmonic distortion. The dedicated 5-inch midrange driver uses a glass fibre coated Rohacel sandwich cone to deliver clear, detailed, and accurate midrange reproduction. Both the woofer and midrange driver employ Eve Audio’s copper cap magnet system, further reducing distortion and improving linearity.
High-frequency reproduction is provided by the RS6 Air Motion Transformer, developed exclusively for the Eve Audio SC3012 and SC3010. The RS6 is significantly larger than earlier Eve Audio AMT designs and allows precise coupling between the midrange and high frequencies. The crossover frequency is set at 1800Hz, resulting in uniform directivity and a seamless transition between drivers with exceptional clarity and definition.
Each driver in the Eve Audio SC3012 is powered by its own PWM amplifier. The tweeter and midrange drivers are each driven by a 250 W amplifier, while the woofer is powered by an 800 W PWM amplifier in bridged mode. All drivers are protected by a limiter detection circuit, allowing reliable operation at very high levels. This configuration enables accurate mix evaluation regardless of the intended playback environment.
For installation flexibility, the Eve Audio SC3012 is fully suitable for wall-mounted applications. An in-wall filter setting is provided for optimum performance, and a set of high-density foam inserts is included to seal the rear bass ports when required. The silver front panel housing the midrange driver and RS6 AMT tweeter can be rotated by 90 degrees, allowing horizontal or vertical orientation without compromising acoustic performance.
System control is handled via Eve Audio’s SMART-knob interface, offering access to volume, filters, and room adaptation settings. The onboard high-resolution DSP ensures precise control while maintaining signal integrity. Settings can be stored using the parameter lock function, even when the monitor is powered off. The Safe Fade-In feature gently increases volume on power-up to protect both equipment and hearing.
As with all Eve Audio monitors, the Eve Audio SC3012 is built using premium components and undergoes meticulous individual quality control at the Berlin factory before shipping. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs are provided for flexible integration into professional monitoring environments.
