The Eve Audio SC3070 is a tri-amplified active monitor engineered to provide a precise sound image with exceptional balance across the entire frequency range. It expands Eve Audio’s three-way lineup by offering the mid-high performance characteristics of the larger, TEC Award-winning SC4070 in a significantly more compact enclosure. This makes the Eve Audio SC3070 particularly well suited to rooms where space is limited but uncompromised monitoring accuracy is essential.
Low frequencies are handled by a SilverCone woofer designed to deliver tight, powerful, and controlled bass performance. The fiberglass-coated membrane is constructed in a stable honeycomb structure, ensuring accurate tonal reproduction with minimal distortion. The midrange is reproduced by a specially developed 4-inch driver, optimised for clarity and detail in the most critical frequency range for music production. Both the bass and midrange drivers utilise Eve Audio’s low-distortion copper cap magnet system, significantly reducing harmonic distortion and improving linearity.
High-frequency reproduction is provided by Eve Audio’s proprietary RS3.1 Air Motion Transformer. This AMT tweeter delivers fast transient response, high resolution, and low distortion without sounding fatiguing. The hand-folded diaphragm moves air more efficiently than conventional dome tweeters, resulting in enhanced detail, dynamics, and clarity across the high-frequency range. The integration of the RS3.1 with the dedicated midrange driver ensures accurate and un-hyped reproduction of both high and mid frequencies.
The Eve Audio SC3070 features a carefully tuned rear bass-reflex port design with smooth internal geometry and no hard edges. This improves low-frequency efficiency while reducing turbulence and distortion at higher sound pressure levels. The cabinet design prioritises clean, functional aesthetics while supporting accurate acoustic performance.
Control and room adaptation are handled via Eve Audio’s SMART-knob interface. The onboard high-resolution DSP uses a BurrBrown 24-bit, 192 kHz A/D converter to process incoming analogue signals from balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA inputs. The DSP provides latency-free filtering, protects drivers from overload, and allows precise adjustment of system volume along with low-shelf, mid-EQ, and high-shelf filters. All settings are displayed on the illuminated LED ring surrounding the SMART-knob, with adjustable brightness for dark studio or video environments. Selected parameters can be locked via rear-panel DIP switches to prevent accidental changes.
High-quality Class D amplification delivers the power required for modern production demands, while the Safe Fade-In function gradually increases volume on power-up to protect both hearing and connected equipment. Each monitor undergoes meticulous individual quality control at the Eve Audio factory in Berlin before shipping.
