The Eve Audio SC4070 is a no-compromise, TEC Award-winning four-way active studio monitor designed to deliver exceptional balance, precision, and power for professional production environments. Developed as the successor to the SC407, the Eve Audio SC4070 raises performance expectations by combining advanced driver technology, powerful amplification, and flexible installation options into a world-class monitoring system suitable for mid to large control rooms.
At the core of the Eve Audio SC4070 is a sophisticated four-way design featuring two 6.5-inch SilverCone woofers, a dedicated 4-inch SilverCone midrange driver, and the proprietary RS3.1 Air Motion Transformer. The twin woofer configuration significantly reduces distortion at high sound pressure levels while delivering tight, homogeneous bass reproduction and a highly linear overall response. Both woofers operate together up to 280Hz and are equipped with specially developed 1.5-inch voice coils, extending low-frequency performance down to 32Hz.
Midrange reproduction is handled by a specially developed 4-inch SilverCone driver designed for greater linear excursion and accurate reproduction of the most critical frequency range. The bass and midrange drivers utilise Eve Audio’s low-distortion copper cap magnet system, reducing harmonic distortion and improving clarity. The glass fibre coated diaphragm, combined with a rigid yet lightweight honeycomb structure, ensures detailed and faithful tonal reproduction.
High frequencies are reproduced by Eve Audio’s RS3.1 Air Motion Transformer. This AMT design is based on a hand-folded diaphragm operating in a powerful neodymium magnetic field. Improvements in materials, internal damping, and magnetic efficiency allow the RS3.1 to deliver higher output levels with extremely low distortion, even at high volumes. The RS3.1 is capable of reproducing frequencies up to 40kHz, providing exceptional resolution and transient accuracy.
The Eve Audio SC4070 features a symmetrical cabinet design centred around a prominent silver aluminium plate that houses the midrange driver and AMT tweeter. This module can be rotated, allowing the monitor to be positioned vertically or horizontally without compromising acoustic performance. The bevelled, ultra-stiff front plate reduces unwanted resonances and diffraction, while the tuned rear bass-reflex port improves low-frequency efficiency and minimises distortion at high output levels.
Each driver in the Eve Audio SC4070 is powered by its own PWM amplifier, delivering a combined short-term output power of 1000 W per monitor. This amplification architecture provides precise control and ample headroom. With a maximum output level of 126 dB SPL at 1 metre for a pair in half-space conditions, the SC4070 allows accurate judgement of mixes regardless of their intended playback level.
System control and room adaptation are handled via Eve Audio’s SMART-knob interface with LED ring display. High-resolution DSP electronics allow precise adjustment of volume and room filters, while maintaining signal integrity through a high-quality A/D converter. Settings can be locked using the parameter lock function, and the Safe Fade-In feature gradually increases volume on power-up to protect hearing and equipment.
As with all Eve Audio monitors, the Eve Audio SC4070 is manufactured using premium components and undergoes meticulous individual quality control at the Berlin factory. Connectivity includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs for flexible integration into professional studio systems.
