The Eve Audio TS108 is built around a proprietary 8 inch woofer driven by an efficient 150 W PWM amplifier. This combination delivers a frequency range extending from 33 Hz up to 300 Hz, with a maximum sound pressure level of 105 dB measured at one metre. The increased amplifier power and larger driver size provide greater headroom and deeper bass performance compared to smaller models in the ThunderStorm range, making the TS108 suitable for medium to larger rooms where extended low-frequency energy is required.
A defining feature of the Eve Audio TS108 is its passive radiator design, which replaces a conventional bass reflex port. This approach eliminates audible noise caused by air turbulence and removes pipe resonances associated with ported enclosures. The passive radiator also reduces subsonic excursions and intermodulation distortion, allowing lower tuning frequencies within a compact cabinet while preserving clarity and control in the audible bass range.
High-resolution DSP electronics are integrated into the TS108 and are applied exclusively to the subwoofer signal path. A high-quality BurrBrown A/D converter is used to manage bass driver operation, while the signal path to the satellite outputs remains fully analogue with no A/D or D/A conversion. When the Pure Satellite function is engaged, the subwoofer and DSP filter section are completely bypassed, allowing only satellite volume adjustment and preserving the integrity of the main monitor signal path.
System control is handled via the rear-panel SMART-knob, enabling direct adjustment of volume, filters, and operating parameters. Settings can be stored and locked to prevent accidental changes and are retained even when the unit is powered off. The Eve Audio TS108 is supplied with a dedicated remote control, allowing adjustment of both subwoofer level and overall system volume from the listening position.
Connectivity includes balanced XLR stereo inputs and outputs, dedicated LFE input and LFE or subwoofer output, and an additional unbalanced input for direct connection to compatible compact monitors. Additional features include switchable satellite filters for full-range or 80 Hz operation, selectable phase options at 0 or 180 degrees, adjustable subwoofer crossover frequencies from 60 Hz to 140 Hz, and a safe fade-in function that gradually increases volume on power-up to protect listeners and equipment.
