Eve Audio TS112 Studio Subwoofer Details

The Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer is designed as the ultimate low-end extension for professional studio monitoring systems where maximum depth, power, and control are required. As the largest and most uncompromising model in the ThunderStorm range, the Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer delivers extremely accurate bass reproduction while maintaining seamless integration with satellite monitors.

At the heart of the Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer is a powerful 12-inch proprietary woofer driven by a highly efficient PWM amplifier capable of 400 W of short-term output power. This combination delivers a clean and controlled frequency response from 24Hz up to 300Hz, with a maximum output level of 112 dB SPL at 1 metre. The result is authoritative low-frequency performance suitable for demanding professional environments, from large control rooms to immersive monitoring setups.

Like all ThunderStorm subwoofers, the Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer employs a passive radiator design rather than a traditional bass reflex port. This eliminates audible noise caused by air turbulence and removes unwanted pipe resonances inherent to ported enclosures. The passive radiator suspension provides a restoring force below its tuning frequency, reducing subsonic excursions and lowering intermodulation distortion within the audible range. This design also allows for exceptionally low tuning frequencies within a compact cabinet.

The Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer offers extensive room and system integration controls. These include switchable satellite filters, phase switch control, and variable subwoofer filter frequencies, allowing precise adjustment of the low-frequency response to suit individual rooms and monitoring systems. The goal is a cohesive and balanced sound where the system operates as a unified whole rather than a collection of separate components.

Control of the Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer is handled via the SMART-knob on the rear panel. This interface provides direct access to volume, filters, and system settings. The onboard DSP uses a high-resolution BurrBrown converter and is applied exclusively to the bass driver operation. The signal path to the satellite speakers remains fully analogue, with no A/D/A conversion. When the Pure Satellite function is engaged, the subwoofer and DSP filter section are completely bypassed, allowing adjustment of satellite volume only.

An included remote control allows adjustment of both the subwoofer level and the overall stereo system volume directly from the listening position. This enables accurate fine-tuning while remaining seated in the sweet spot, improving workflow and monitoring precision.

As with every Eve Audio subwoofer, the Eve Audio TS112 ThunderStorm Subwoofer is equipped with balanced XLR inputs and outputs, including stereo inputs and outputs, LFE input, and LFE or subwoofer output. High-quality components are used throughout, and each unit undergoes meticulous individual quality control at Eve Audio’s Berlin facility before shipping.
