Ferrofish A32pro Dante AD/DA Converter Details

The Ferrofish A32pro Dante Converter Multimode is the flagship of the Ferrofish A32pro range, designed to seamlessly connect analogue and digital audio with Dante networks. Built on Ferrofish’s new modular hardware platform, it combines 32 balanced analogue inputs and 32 balanced analogue outputs with ADAT, MADI, and redundant Dante connectivity, delivering a total of 386 channels in a compact 1U rackmount design. Offering pristine conversion quality up to 192 kHz, comprehensive routing flexibility, and extensive redundancy, the Ferrofish A32pro Dante is engineered for both studio and live sound applications.

All Ferrofish A32pro Dante interfaces, whether analogue, MADI, ADAT, or Dante, are integrated into the powerful internal routing matrix, which allows free routing of signals in groups of eight channels. The 32 analogue I/O channels are delivered via eight D-Sub connectors with levels up to +20 dBu, adjustable in 1 dB steps. Digital connections include four pairs of ADAT ports, dual SFP slots for MADI with redundant operation, and redundant Dante via dual RJ45 ports. A stereo main output is also provided. With ESS 32-bit converters, a temperature-compensated clock, and jitter reduction PLL, the Ferrofish A32pro Dante ensures transparency and stability in the most demanding environments.

Reliability is at the core of the Ferrofish A32pro Dante’s design. Redundant Dante and MADI paths safeguard against network failures, while dual power supply inputs ensure continuous operation. All power and interface systems are permanently monitored, with any issues clearly displayed on the TFT screens or communicated via GPO outputs. Four high-resolution multitouch TFT displays provide full visual feedback, showing all analogue and digital levels, clocking, GPIO status, and presets. Operation is simple through the graphical interface, with remote control available via USB, MIDI, MIDI-over-MADI, or Remote-over-Dante using Ferrofish’s RemoteFish software for Mac and PC.

Monitoring flexibility on the Ferrofish A32pro Dante is provided by two independent high-quality headphone outputs, capable of accessing any input or output channel in mono, stereo, or mid/side. They can also be configured for balanced headphone operation for audiophile use. DSP stick slots allow future expandability, ensuring the Ferrofish A32pro Dante can evolve with the needs of professional systems.

Compact, fanless, and offering comprehensive integration with Dante networks, the Ferrofish A32pro Dante is a powerful problem solver and a complete conversion and routing solution for modern audio infrastructures.
