Housed in a robust MDF reflex-ported enclosure, the 8380A’s performance is supported by three discrete amplification stages: a 500-watt Class D amplifier for the low frequencies, a 250-watt Class D for the midrange, and a 200-watt Class AB for the high frequencies. Its large-format design guarantees exceptional dynamic range and silent self-noise levels, allowing the finest audio nuances to be heard clearly even at the minimum recommended listening distance of 1.3 metres.
Ideal for flush-mount or free-standing installations, the Genelec 8380A’s amplifier dimensions are identical to legacy Genelec models, simplifying upgrades from previous systems such as the 1038A, 1038B, and 1238A.
