If you want to capture sound with stunning realism, clarity, and accuracy, you need a GML Model 8302 Transformerless Microphone Preamp.

GML Model 8302 Transformerless Microphone Preamp Details

The GML Model 8302 Transformerless Microphone Preamp is trusted by professionals for their unparalleled transparency and fidelity.

You can choose from the 4 channel ”8304” or the 2 channel ”8302” Series II models as seen here, both of which have been updated with the latest components and features. And yes, the two channel version uses the same front panel as the four channel version, just with the extra hole son the front panel somewhat covered over.

The Series II models have convenient switches for phantom power and phase reverse on the front panel, and a redesigned +48v phantom supply that reduces noise.

The signal path is free of any transformers, FETs, ICs, or electrolytic capacitors that could compromise the sound quality.

The outputs are direct-coupled with reliable active servos that eliminate DC without adding any coloration.

You can adjust the gain from 10dB to 65dB in 5dB increments on the front panel. A +24dBv clip indicator alerts you of any potential overloads. Both the GML Model 8302 and GML Model 8304 are designed to fit in 1U rack space.

They come with an external power supply (GML Model 8355) and a 5pin XLR power cable.
