Lexicon I·ONIX FW810S
The Lexicon I•ONIX FW810S is a 1U FireWire studio hub combining eight dbx mic preamps, dbx dynamics and EQ on every channel, Lexicon zero-latency monitor reverb, Type IV conversion and a powerful snapshot-enabled software Mixer, bundled with Cubase LE 4, EZ Drummer Lite and Pantheon II.

Lexicon I·ONIX FW810S Firewire Audio Interface Details

Released in October 2008, the Lexicon I•ONIX FW810S consolidated interface, mixing and processing into a single 1U rackmount unit for project and professional studios. Beyond its 8-in, 10-out FireWire design, it centred on eight high-voltage, ultra low noise dbx microphone preamps to capture accurate timbre and tonality, while the updated Pantheon II plug-in delivered smooth, lush Lexicon reverbs for creating convincing spaces.

dbx Type IV conversion helped preserve dynamic range at high levels by imparting a forgiving, oversaturated quality reminiscent of large-format analogue recorders.

The integrated software Mixer of teh Lexicon I·ONIX FW810S provided a familiar, true-to-life control surface for routing through 8 inputs and 10 outputs, applying dbx dynamics and EQ on every channel, and previewing zero-latency Lexicon monitor reverbs in real time.

Sessions could be streamlined further by saving and recalling snapshots, including up to five monitor mixes for the control room and individual performers.

Bundled Cubase LE 4, Toontrack EZ Drummer Lite and the Pantheon II reverb plug-in made the Lexicon I•ONIX FW810S a complete studio toolkit from installation, with stable Windows WDM and ASIO drivers plus Macintosh CoreAudio with ASIO support and dependable FireWire 400 connectivity at 24-bit, up to 96 kHz.
