The Neve ADA24 is a mastering-grade 24 × 24 Dante analogue AD/DA converter developed for uncompromising audio quality and seamless integration into professional recording, broadcast, live sound, and post-production environments. Designed in close collaboration with engineers from leading studios worldwide, the Neve ADA24 was refined through extensive blind listening tests and direct comparisons with established converters, ensuring it meets demanding expectations for performance, reliability, and sonic transparency.
Supporting sample rates up to 192 kHz with 32-bit integer resolution, the Neve ADA24 delivers exceptional clarity and precision. Its A/D conversion provides up to 119 dBFS of dynamic range, while the D/A stage delivers up to 122 dBFS, preserving detail and accuracy across all 24 channels. Selectable analogue headroom of +18 dBu, +24 dBu, or +26 dBu allows precise alignment with a wide range of professional operating levels.
The Neve ADA24 offers 24 balanced analogue line inputs and 24 balanced analogue line outputs via rear-panel DB25 connectors, enabling clean integration with professional analogue equipment and patch bays. The analogue output stage is based on the balanced line amplification technology used in the Neve 88R console, providing bandwidth in excess of 100 kHz and the ability to drive long cable runs without signal degradation. The balanced analogue input stage delivers excellent common-mode rejection and pristine signal integrity.
Clocking performance is handled by a modern low-drift crystal oscillator and precision PLL, delivering stable, low-jitter operation. Combined with DACs featuring built-in jitter elimination, the Neve ADA24 can function as a reliable master clock for professional audio systems. Synchronisation is provided via 75 Ω BNC word clock input and output connections.
Dual rear-panel Ethernet ports provide Primary and Secondary Dante connectivity, ensuring redundancy for critical broadcast, live production, and installation environments. Audio continuity is maintained in the event of a network fault, while the Secondary port can alternatively be used for switched-mode daisy-chaining, simplifying integration across complex studio or facility-wide Dante networks.
A front-panel OLED display presents clear system information including network status, sample rate, bit depth, headroom, clock source, and metering. Navigation buttons allow fast local configuration, while dedicated LEDs indicate signal presence and clipping across all analogue inputs and outputs. Using Neve ADA24’s Remote App, analogue outputs can be remotely attenuated or muted over the network, providing secure level control and added protection for connected equipment.
Thermal management is handled by an external power supply and internal fan-assisted cooling, reducing internal heat build-up and supporting long-term reliability. The OLED display can also be used to view current Dante subscriptions locally, offering practical system oversight in large multi-room installations.
