Summit Audio ECS-410 Everest Channel Strip Details

The Summit Audio ECS-410 Everest is a state-of-the-art analogue channel strip that combines four fully independent modules into a single, powerful system.

Each section, the Mz-2 Mic & Instrument Preamp, Dc-1 Dual-Mode Dynamics, Fe-1 Passive EQ, and Db2 DriveBus/Output, features its own balanced I/O and can be used independently or routed together internally through the innovative TouchPatch system.

With the push of a button, engineers can instantly rearrange the order of modules of the Summit Audio ECS-410 Everest in the analogue domain, or access each unit directly through a patchbay for maximum flexibility.

The Mz-2 Mic & Instrument Preamp delivers outstanding sound quality with the ability to switch between tube and solid-state input stages, offering tonal variety from pristine clarity to warm saturation.

The Dc-1 Dual-Mode Dynamics section provides ultra-low-noise compression, with Classic “soft-knee” control for smooth levelling or a Tight mode for a higher compression ratio.

The Fe-1 Passive EQ is a three-band design based on Summit’s signature passive tube equalisation, with six selectable frequency settings per band for smooth, musical shaping.

Finally, the Db2 DriveBus/Output stage offers multiple gain stages with both vacuum tube and discrete transistor modes, capable of everything from ultra-clean amplification to rich harmonic overdrive.

Everest’s design makes every section available at all times, with all six outputs active for creative patching and routing options. This flexibility means it can be used as a complete channel strip or as four separate high-end processors.

Like all Summit Audio products, the Summit Audio ECS-410 Everest is meticulously hand-crafted in the USA using premium components and precision engineering, ensuring exceptional sound quality and long-term reliability.
