Dangerous S&M Mid-Side Processor

Dangerous S&M
The Dangerous S&M is an all-analogue mid-side processor that gives mixing and mastering engineers precise control over stereo width, centre/side balance, and targeted outboard processing in a clean, transparent signal path.

Dangerous S&M Mid-Side Processor Details

The Dangerous S&M is a fully analogue mid-side (sum and difference) processing matrix designed to unlock detailed control over stereo signals for mixing and mastering engineers. Whether enhancing stereo width, surgically EQing the sides, or compressing only the centre image, the Dangerous S&M provides unmatched flexibility in a clean, relay-based signal path.

By splitting your stereo signal into independent Mid (centre) and Side channels, the Dangerous S&M allows you to insert outboard gear with surgical precision, tame sibilant vocals without touching the ambient sides, or punch up the snare in overheads without choking the cymbals. With its transparent circuit design and 100% analogue path, the Dangerous S&M ensures your sound remains pristine, even under extreme processing.

Ideal for mastering, the Dangerous S&M can correct overly wide or narrow mixes, balance vocal presence without stems, or gently refine tonal issues without affecting the entire stereo field. In mixing, it becomes a powerful creative tool, from enhancing stereo synths to shaping reverbs and effects returns.

The width control allows subtle or dramatic reshaping of the stereo image with 0.02 dBu precision. Built by hand with high-spec components, the Dangerous S&M is the perfect complement to your outboard chain, delivering professional-grade mid-side control in a compact and cleanly engineered format.
