Elysia Nvelope can sculpt your sound with unparalleled precision and musicality, giving you complete command over transients and sustain to achieve the exact character you have always envisioned. In Full Range mode it processes the entire audio spectrum without regard to specific level thresholds, so you simply turn the Attack control to the left to soften transients or to the right to accentuate them, and you do the same with the Sustain control to taste. You also have a Freq A control that lets you reduce the influence of bass frequencies on attack shaping, ensuring that higher frequencies drive the transient response.
Switching to Dual Band mode unlocks even more flexibility by letting you define separate frequency ranges for attack and sustain. Freq A now sets the lower limit of the attack band and Freq S sets the upper limit of the sustain band, while Attack and Sustain continue to behave as in Full Range mode. This makes it easy to target transient shaping to just the areas that need it and to avoid unwanted artefacts on complex material.
In EQ mode you can disable the dynamics circuitry and use Elysia Nvelope as a dual shelving equaliser. Freq A becomes the corner frequency of the high-shelf filter and Attack adjusts its cut or boost, while Freq S becomes the corner frequency of the low-shelf filter with Sustain controlling its cut or boost. You may run the two channels independently or link them for true stereo equalisation.
Mixed mode lets you assign each channel its own function: you might use channel L for Dual Band impulse shaping and channel R for Full Range impulse shaping, or route channel L into channel R to apply EQ first and then transient shaping. The possibilities are virtually endless.
Because boosting attack in Full Range mode can create level peaks that sound uneven or induce harsh distortion, Elysia Nvelope includes an Auto Gain button that automatically compensates for those peaks and keeps your output level consistent. Auto Gain is only available in Full Range mode.
Finally, you decide whether to operate both channels independently in Dual Mono or link them for true stereo operation. In Stereo Link mode both channels share the same mode setting, whether Full Range, Dual Band or EQ, while in Dual Mono you can mix and match any combination of modes on each channel.
