The Sebatron Spider EQ is a valve-based equaliser designed to bring warmth, energy, and precision to any audio signal. Utilising a twin-triode valve (12AT7 or 12AX7) as the core gain element, the Sebatron Spider EQ delivers tonal shaping that can range from subtle enhancements to bold transformations. Its circuitry features two Baxandall EQ stages wired through feedback loops with valves, supported by discrete Class A design and high-voltage rails to ensure detail and fidelity remain intact while adding musical colouration.
Equipped with four bands of active equalisation, the Sebatron Spider EQ offers a versatile set of controls. The low and high shelving bands each include two switchable frequencies, while the low-mid and high-mid bands feature four selectable frequencies with different Q characteristics for precise tonal sculpting. Each band provides up to 10 dB of boost or cut, allowing engineers to craft both broad tonal sweeps and surgical adjustments.
The Sebatron Spider EQ’s transformerless, direct-coupled design provides a fast, tight low-end response, ensuring clarity and punch across the full frequency range. Two large backlit VU meters complete the unit, making level monitoring intuitive and accurate. Combining modern precision with classic valve character, the Sebatron Spider EQ is a powerful and flexible outboard equaliser for both tracking and mixing.
