The Neumann KH 150 features a 6.5-inch (165mm) high-precision woofer housed in a carefully engineered bass reflex cabinet that extends its low-frequency response down to an impressive 39Hz. The 1-inch (25mm) alloy fabric dome tweeter reproduces smooth and distortion-free highs up to 21kHz, ensuring complete clarity and balance across the spectrum. Both drivers are coupled with Neumann’s Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide, which provides a wide, controlled sweet spot and minimises reflections from desks or mixing surfaces.
At the heart of the Neumann KH 150 is a powerful internal DSP engine that enables phase-linear crossovers and ultra-precise frequency response correction. The monitor offers a linear frequency response from 39Hz to 21kHz (±3dB) and a phase-linear response from 105Hz to 16kHz with a latency below 2.6ms. This delivers exceptional impulse accuracy, finely detailed reverbs, and precise stereo imaging.
The Neumann KH 150’s DSP also supports automatic room calibration through Neumann’s MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system, which optimises the monitor’s response to your specific acoustic environment for unparalleled consistency and accuracy.
Powered by Neumann’s patent-pending Class D amplifiers, the Neumann KH 150 delivers 145 watts to the woofer and 100 watts to the tweeter. Despite its power, it consumes only 17 watts at idle, with an auto-standby mode reducing this to 0.3 watts. The result is high SPL performance, pristine transient handling, and energy-efficient operation.
Connectivity includes analogue and S/PDIF digital inputs, while the Neumann KH 150 AES67 variant adds redundant Audio-over-IP functionality fully compatible with broadcast standards such as ST 2110, ST 2022-7, and RAVENNA, as well as DANTE®-generated AES67 streams.
With its deep bass, precision imaging, and DSP-controlled accuracy, the Neumann KH 150 bridges the gap between the compact Neumann KH 120 II and the larger Neumann KH 310, making it ideal for music production, film scoring, EDM, and any genre requiring extended low-frequency accuracy.
