The Neumann KH 805 II is a next-generation DSP-powered active subwoofer that delivers reference-grade precision, power, and control for professional monitoring environments. Designed for medium-sized studios, the Neumann KH 805 II provides extended low-frequency reproduction down to 16Hz with outstanding clarity, tightness, and low distortion, making it the ideal companion for Neumann’s KH 150, KH 310, and KH 420 studio monitors.
Equipped with a newly developed 10-inch (254mm) long-throw woofer featuring Neumann’s Extremely Linear Force Factor™ (ELFF™) technology, the Neumann KH 805 II ensures clean, distortion-free bass even at maximum SPL. Intelligent protection limiters preserve system reliability while maintaining dynamic integrity. The rigid, acoustically optimised wooden cabinet incorporates a highly efficient bass reflex design for maximum output and inaudible port noise. A robust metal grille protects the driver against accidental damage in studio environments.
The Neumann KH 805 II’s DSP-controlled architecture delivers superior frequency accuracy, seamless integration with the rest of the KH monitor line, and precise system calibration. When paired with Neumann’s MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment software, it automatically compensates for room acoustics to achieve perfect time and phase alignment between monitors and subwoofer. The Neumann KH 805 II also features patented DSP capability that extends MA 1 alignment to analogue KH-line monitors such as the Neumann KH 120 A, Neumann KH 310, or Neumann KH 420, enabling full-system calibration across an entire stereo setup.
Its versatile 2.0/0.1 bass management system supports stereo and multichannel configurations, offering four routing modes: stereo 80Hz bass management, external bass management, LFE up to 120Hz, and full-range LFE operation. Adjustable input gain, output level, low-cut, and phase controls provide precise adaptation to any room.
Connectivity includes electronically balanced analogue XLR inputs and outputs for daisy-chaining or array setups, along with 192kHz/24-bit digital I/O via BNC for AES3 or S/PDIF signals. A network port enables control and alignment via MA 1 software. Power is supplied by a universal 100–240V switch-mode PSU, ensuring stability in all regions.
Delivering approximately twice the output power of the Neumann KH 750 DSP and extending bass response far deeper, the Neumann KH 805 II sets a new benchmark for low-frequency monitoring accuracy. It enhances both the dynamic range and overall SPL of connected monitors while maintaining Neumann’s hallmark neutrality and precision.
