The Eventide DSP4000 Series Ultra-Harmonizers are multipurpose programmable digital audio signal processor with pitch change capability. It is the latest and greatest in a line of pitch change special effects units stretching back to before most audio manufacturers ever heard of digital.

Eventide DSP4000 Ultra-Harmonizer® Details

The Eventide DSP4000 Series Ultra-Harmonizer range comprises multipurpose, programmable digital audio processors with integrated pitch shifting capability. Developed as an advancement of earlier Harmonizer designs, the Eventide DSP4000 Series extends Eventide’s lineage of pitch-based effects units into a more powerful and flexible digital platform.

The Ultra designation reflects expanded functionality beyond previous models. The Eventide DSP4000 Series processors are designed to generate original effects structures through a built-in patch editor, allowing users to construct their own algorithms. Full MIDI implementation enables comprehensive remote control, including real-time parameter adjustment without audible artefacts.

Different models within the Eventide DSP4000 Series are configured for specific application areas, with feature sets optimised for those markets. Many features can be shared across models through available options. These include alternative factory preset libraries supplied on memory cards, audio sampling capability, S/PDIF and AES/EBU digital inputs and outputs, and software updates.

Each unit in the Eventide DSP4000 Series Ultra-Harmonizer line is supplied with an extensive collection of factory presets. These programmes provide a wide range of processing configurations while also serving as starting points for further user modification.

This thing is fantastic. The H3000 gets all the hype but any of the Eventide Ultra-Harmonizers sound stellar.

Doesn’t have the mojo as the H3000. However the Reverb with doubler is excellent on horns. Many veterans will tell you the H3000 is the one to get but this piece seems to sit in the mix just right.
